In March, Feline Friends was asked to go into a home in Dracut Ma. to rescue approx. 14 cats from horrid conditions. Seven weeks later we had 95 adults. Since the cats were living in this home without people, they are unsure of humans. The only time they saw someone was when the owner put down bags of dry food and some water.
These cats are not aggressive. They are sweet but very frightened. In order to save them from being destroyed, we chose to keep them out of the shelters that do not have a non-kill status. The shelters that are non kill could not help because of their large numbers. So needless to say, Feline Friends has these beautiful cats that are in need of good indoor homes who understand that with time, patience, and love these cats will socialize into the purr-fect companion. They are so deserving of loving home that will give them time to bond. They will allow you to pat them but are unsure of being picked up. They would need to start off in a one room until they bonded to you then could be introduced to a whole house. They are great with other cats and are partial to dry food. If you are interested in helping one or more of these cats please contact us at: felinefriendsnh.info@comcast.netto see them.
They have all been tested for FIV and Feline Leukemia. They have had their distemper and rabies vaccination, and have been spayed or neutered. They are available for adoption at no charge and a guarantee that if the placement doesn’t work they would come back to our care. If you or anyone you know could add another cat to your home and would like to give one of them a chance please email us.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and we hope that you will consider opening your home to help one of these cats.
Sincerely,
Lori Leone
